Im intrested in getting a pr of 32s for CAS. my sons wife wants to try CAS with me. and thats just another good reason to buy another pr of pistols. I was looking at there site and it doesnt say if they are built on the steel or alum frame. altho I have nothing against alum Id prefer steel for the added weight. does anyone here have one? and could you stick a magnet to it and check for me? thanks all, DR.

Ok I found it, 32s are built on steel frames. I just had to dig a little further. It adds aprox two ounces to the gun is all. now I just need to find someone who can get a pr in CA!

Any LGS or FFL should be able to get you a pair. It's just a matter of finding them I would guess? :?

Any reason why you're choosing to go with the .32's instead of a bigger bore?

COOL Factor! I have 45s and Im thinking these will be easier on my wrists. But definatly the COOL Factor... Im also thinking about 36 cal colt navys. or 58 remingtons. as far as getting them anywhere, I live in CA where not everything is as easy as it should be. but the BPs I can buy online. DR.

I was wanting to get the 45lc's for a long time. But I recently changed my mind due to the cost of ammo. :?
So now I plan on doing the .357's. That way I can still shoot relatively inexpensively by shooting the .38's.
But there's still nothing that beats the cool factor of the .45lc's! :wink1:

My wife has a Ruger SP101 in .32H&R, and I can tell you that the ammo for that isn't all that inexpensive. :? Even though I usually buy the .32 S&W Longs which are cheaper.

BP= Black Powder, I reload all my guns so I can shoot 45s for 7cts each. 32s should be a little less. after buying the first batch. DR.

That's a great way to save money!

How is the primer situation where you are? I've hear Micheal Bane say there is a huge shortage of it, but I've found the primers at the LGS when they didn't have ammo!

BTW: I think .32s are great for CAS and SASS. Especially since they had to impose a "minimum" blackpowder rule for reloads. (Some were basicly making .45 Colt "CBs" - just the primer, no powder - reloads so there was no recoil for quicker shot! )

Ive tried that and couldnt get a consistant load, I think that where the min black powder rule came from was gamers putting just a pinch of black in with their regular loads and wanting to compete in the BP only classes. that way they didnt have to move around the cloud of smoke to see the next target.

the primer shelves around here are bare, but I have few thousand put away so I dont run out. the last time we had a primer shortage around here guys hoarded cases of primers. then once the mfg side cought up and they realised that they wouldnt ever use that many primers, they tryed to sell them and flooded the market. so I bought when they were cheap. I use them for practice and buy new for match ammo. I found at an estate sale several thousand shotgun primers for $10 a thousand a couple of years ago. Im down now to only a few hundred, and wishing I could find another deal like that. DR.

well so far Ive not found anyone that sells them, or that could even find them at their distributor. BUT, I do rember seeing somewhere that Heritage would drop ship to my FFL. trouble is here the FFLs want $65 each for there service. kind of a steep price! I did find a company that sells 32 cal barrels and cylinders for rugers single sixs. now where to find a pr of beater single sixs. DR.

WOW! That is a steep FFL price DR. :?
You might want to do a bit of searching and see if you can find a home based FFL like I use. He only charges me 25 at most for a transfer.

the last ten years they have put so much pressure on home based FFLs that they are nonexistant. [ any homebased buisness ] . at the sheriffs dept we used to use several that worked there but even those have dried up. DR.

Just more chewy goodness from Komminfornia I guess? :?

And yet with all your state's financial woes, they still haven't learned that Mom and Pop stores are what made this country strong. Not the big Corps! :hmmmm:

they are so anti buisness here that mom and pops get the same crap as the big guys. the big guys just can afford more lawyers to keep them going .
