Have any of you had to deal with customer service?
We took the wife's Henry out this past weekend and it jammed four rounds of .22lr in three different loadings.
We tried lead solids and lead hp's both were problematic.
I ran a full tube of .22 shorts with not so much as a stutter.

I just took it apart today and found it to be very dirty (keep in mind it was used).

The carrier (part # 08/09) is gouged up a bit.

When I went to wipe off the bolt face the ejector (part #40) sheered off at the bolt face.

So I am curious if any of you have experience with them and how much parts run.
I'll be calling them soon myself I was just interested so I knew what I should expect to be dealing with.

I have heard great things according to the fellas over at RFC, but haven't had to use them myself. I imagine that if you contact the head honcho over there it will be repaired quickly.

Spend a little time on the Henry forum at RFC and you'll see Henry's service is outstanding. The company president answers all emails promptly and they stand behind their products. They've been known on a few occasions to send repair parts for a gun they know is used at no charge. Not saying they'll do it every time, but their customer support is right up there with the best.

I've never had to send my Henry back, but I've sent many e-mails and suggestions to them and have had all my responces sent by Antony so I wouldn't have any worries in sending a Henry back for fixin'.

**UPDATE**

Well after sending a second e-mail, via the online contact form this time, I got the following response within a half an hour.

Quote:
Thank you for owning a Henry. I'm sorry to hear you're having this trouble. Please provide your name, address, phone#, serial# and I will issue you a prepaid UPS label.
We will get the gun back and resolve all of these issues very quickly for you. Please also include either a copy of your email or a letter detailing all of the issues on this gun.
Best Regards,
Thomas Kotz

My wife is going to be VERY happy to hear this.

Only issue I have with mine is. Having to scope a lever gun due to crappy eyes. Bought a little cheep scope that allows me to put holes in holes for now but have a appointment at the eye doc. for first week of April. Just makes me feel dirty scoping such a good shooter.

If it makes you feel any better, there's outdoorsmen in Alaska who've put scopes on their lever actions as well.

I've actually seen scopes on plenty of lever guns. Usually it's done for hunting purposes I think? But nonetheless if you need a scope to outshoot your buddy.... then it's worth it!
