Had my first real chance to check out my new RR. Shot great no problems at all. Very fun to shoot.

I did not do any real accuracy testing just some fun plinking-seemed accurate enough for me. Seemed like it shot a little high, I may see about that when I really test for accuracy in the future. I will say that if I can get two more next year for what I paid this year-both of my sons will have there very own .

Here is my youngest son getting some range time.

I love to see the young ones being brought in at the right age, and with a fine piece of iron no less.
Well done. :clap2:

Great picture there! :clap2:

Plinking is what these guns are all about. How did your son's like the safety?

As far as they know all guns have a safety like the RR has. I really like the safety on these guns-its one extra measure of safety while me and my sons are shooting.

As a matter of fact- I also really like the cross bolt safety on my Marlin 336- same reason one more measure of safety.

Yup me and the boys like to hunt and shoot-

Great stuff Orangepeel! :clap2:
Those are my favorite kind of pics and stories! :wink1:

Nothin makes me happier than when my daughter is shooting with me and having a good time.
Those moments will be gone before we know it and treasured forever. :wink1:
Congrats!

So true, Ape. So true. My little girl was champion of the .22s last year, now this year she is kinda cooling off somewhat. I think the boys have started looking better to her than her Savage cub. :dunno: Hopefully whatever the case, she gets back into it this spring/summer. She's 13. She's gotta beat all them guys at the turkey shoots again this coming year! And make ole dad proud and grinning like a possum!

Here are a few pics of this past year, first at my brother in law's cabin in mountains, and second of my year round camp with hunting buddy and his wife, Angel and my wife.

Hey six, I love that second pic.
I'll bet every lady in that photo could out shoot, from their folding chairs, the one fella with a shooting bench. :funny:

ASC2, I can 'almost' agree with you, but my hunting buddy is quite a crack shot, without that bench. If I was running from him, I'd be terrified! We had a bet one day, that he couldn't hit the spiderweb catcher/antenna on my 4 wheeler. He won, with one shot from 20 or so yards. I'll post a pic shortly.
Ape, Angel has a cricket, with black stock. Quickly outgrew it, so Santa brought that pink Savage 3 years ago Christmas. Her and Ken, my buddy, gets into 'heated' friendly matches, usually one not able to outdo the other.

That's awesome six!
My daughter is starting to get to the point where I'm gonna start losing some competitions to her as well. :?
But she's a ways off from outgrowing the Crickett still. When that happens I'm afraid to find out what gun she'll want next! :scared: :funny:

Here's the proof of me losing the bet with my buddy, open sighted at 20yds or so....

Don' t worry ape, take it like a man---she's gonna take the one you're using, right outta your hand! My little girl does that now. She likes the scope I got on my everyday gun, a '71 model 1969 Romanian Trainer. I don't get to shoot much anymore, between the wife and daughter, I don't get to shoot whatever guns I've taken! So, I just buy ammo and take pics.

I hear ya Six, that is why I have had to start buying my wife her own guns or at least buying guns for me that she will not shoot.

I've suddenly found that my wife and daughter lay claims to ALL my guns. I have been buying them their own, but somehow 'theirs' get left at home or in the case. :dunno: I've got them beat on one respect--handguns. Wife thinks they are too loud and is recoil sensitive, daughter will shoot them once in a while, but not much interest. And, we wear ear protection ALWAYS. I'm already half deaf-don't want daughter that way too.
