Forum rules

As with any great game there are rules.

1: This is a Family Site that means:
__ a: No sexually explicit pictures or avaters.
__ b: No vulgar profanity. (Keep it PG)
__ c: No personal insults (Argue the point, not the person.)

2: Keep all political/religious debates civil. Different viewpoints are good. Hating someone for that different is bad.

3: No "smack-talk" of someone elses gun. Every gun is a Heirloom to it's owner.

4: No spamming or fly-by-night sales. This isn't free-advertising.com! Go sell your stuff somewhere else.

5: If you don't like guns or shooting hobbies, go somewhere else! There are other places to go that feel that way and would love you to join them. Let us enjoy our hobby!

6: Have fun! You're here to relax and enjoy yourself. Keep it light and don't get caught up in the gun-smoke!

I've never really had a desire for engraved guns. Although I do appreciated them for their beauty, I've just never wanted one. I'm more of "a gun is a tool" kind of guy that enjoys the natural beauty and lines of a gun I guess? :dunno:

Yep I will never own a safe queen I might look at them as works of art, but would much rather the manufactures make massive quantities of well functioning "tools" at non demand inflated prices.

I'm the same way with cars jj. Why have a car that you can't drive except on and off a trailer for car shows. Don't make much sense to this guy. :hmmmm:

While I might not mind having a nicely engraved revolver that would look good on display (although it would get shot some, too), I wouldn't have much interest in an engraved HRR. To me, it would be kind of like those guys who put thousands of dollars into body kits, etc. for a Honda Civic. Nothing wrong with a Civic - just like a Rough Rider they seem to be functional, reliable and a good value. At the end of the day, however, no matter how much you spend on body kits, lambo doors, etc. it is still a Honda Civic. (Funny how Ape and I both hit on car references for comparison.)

I would think that nickel, on the other hand, could help with rust resistance and so on. That would be a 'value added' feature as long as cost were not greatly increased - especially if the HRR were to be carried as a trail gun or the like.

Anyone hear banjos? :scared:

I could see an engraved version, but only if it was priced "right". Like $50 to $100 more.
