__ a: No sexually explicit pictures or avaters.
__ b: No vulgar profanity. (Keep it PG)
__ c: No personal insults (Argue the point, not the person.)

2: Keep all political/religious debates civil. Different viewpoints are good. Hating someone for that different is bad.

6: Have fun! You're here to relax and enjoy yourself. Keep it light and don't get caught up in the gun-smoke!

In this time of ammo shortages real, perceived, invented or exploited, a shooter of a centerfire revolver will do well to educate himself about what can be fired in ones gun. This is one major advantage of a revolver over an auto right? The DWM Luger in the gun cabinet is out of luck if the shops are out of 9mm but the proud owner of a Hrr BB has at least a couple of choices maybe. If it's 357 he has at least 4. 357Mag,38Sp, 38 Long Colt and 38 Short Colt. Any more? In 45 Colt he may[usually] also have 45 Schofield. Will 45 Auto Rim work in 45C as well? How about other calibers? This could help if supplies are real tight. 44Mag has a couple "shorts" 44 Sp. and 44Russian right? I'm asking on the Russian but seems like I read this. The 44Sp is a stretched Russian. Anyway, what say you?

Good point kalboy!
And now that you mention the 38 short colt thing I have to wonder if my enfield that shoots 38 S&W and short colt would be able to utilize any of the other 38's? :hmmmm:

My wife's Ruger SP101 .32 is designed for .32 H&R as is the Heritage. However I normally buy .32 S&W longs since they're less expensive. :wink1:

I used to collect millitary pistols and had a couple of spanish 9mms that they had cut their chambers to accept any 9mm they could pickup out on the battle field. the Star Super, A,and B,were like this as was the Astra 400. I could shoot 9mm largo, 38acp, 9mm kurtz, 9mm parabelum, 380, etc. with the Stars I could also shoot 38 super, with just a change of the recoil spring. they head spaced on their extractor and had a streight walled chamber. unique guns that I got more than one funny look by mixing ammo in one mag and then betting on wether it would all fire. DR.

That'd be a great way to get more ammo!

"Hey! Ya can't mix ammo like that in a semi auto."

"Betcha that box of ammo I can."

"Yer on."

Bang-bang-bang-bang-bang!

"Dang! Here ya go. Where'd ya get that gun?"

:cool1:
