What distance are we doing this at? 7yds? 10yds? 15yds?

If I don't hear back by this Friday the 10th I'll go with 10yds. ;-)

Dang it! I forgot to save our targets from this weekend!  My kid did awesome with that target too! I was gonna bring em home and add up the scores and somehow they got thrown away when packing up to leave??? sigh Oh well? :-(

But I gotta tell you that my kid liked that target better than any of the other paper one's we brought! ;-)

That's cool! I'm glad your kid enjoyed the target. That's what its all about! I printed a ton of them for my godkids in Georgia, but they were so sick that we never got a chance to go. I gotta try and squeak in a try myself. ITs supposed to rain pretty good on Friday. I might use the "I don't want my cold to get worse." line to get off early.

I'm sorry I didn't post a yardage. We've been doing the 10/15 yards so much I just figured it to be the norm. Everyone, what is the closest you get at your shooting range?

I can get as close or as far away as I want with my new gun club! :-) I think I posted some pics of it here somewhere?

The outdoor ranges are 15 yards and the indoor range is 10 yards for me. Each has its advatages and drawbacks.

So they're both set and unmovable huh? That stinks :-/ The public ranges I used to use had there plus and minus points like that as well. Except the indoor has the motorized targets which was nice. But you couldn't shoot rifles? The outdoor one you can shoot rifles but the target are all stationary.

My new gun club has "berms" for hand gun shooting. And those you put the target wherever you want. I think they're about 50 yards deep at max? Then we have a seperate "high power" range for rifles. Those start at 100yds and go back to 600yds. Plus you can put a moveable target in there if you want. ;-) We also have a .22 silowhette range with stationary targets at 25 yard intervals up to 100yds. But again, you can put other stuff out there if you want. We also have a 5 station sporting clay set up for shotty's. And if you don't want to do that they have standard launchers for clays.

I love the new place! Especially for only 60 bucks a year! :-D

I can get the target as close as I want, but can only go out to about 20yds :(.

Honestly, I do most of my shooting at 10yds. I figure that in a self defense situation, that's what I will be looking at for the max. It IS fun to run the line out to 20yds, but most time the wind gets the target to sway.

I wouldn't go out any farther than that slpitter? Unless you're just up for challanging yourself?
I do that for fun all the time, but for these little contests I would keep it closer to 10yds. ;-)
