Forum rules

As with any great game there are rules.

1: This is a Family Site that means:
__ a: No sexually explicit pictures or avaters.
__ b: No vulgar profanity. (Keep it PG)
__ c: No personal insults (Argue the point, not the person.)

2: Keep all political/religious debates civil. Different viewpoints are good. Hating someone for that different is bad.

3: No "smack-talk" of someone elses gun. Every gun is a Heirloom to it's owner.

4: No spamming or fly-by-night sales. This isn't free-advertising.com! Go sell your stuff somewhere else.

5: If you don't like guns or shooting hobbies, go somewhere else! There are other places to go that feel that way and would love you to join them. Let us enjoy our hobby!

6: Have fun! You're here to relax and enjoy yourself. Keep it light and don't get caught up in the gun-smoke!

God, I would love to see the temper tantrum Hizzoner Mayor Daley throws when he gets his ban shoved where the sun don't shine. :funny: :funny: :funny: I'm also looking forward to the Brady Bunch's hissy fit. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I don't know how much even a favorable SCOTUS decision will change things for the average citizen in Chicago, etc. - at least in the short term. I imagine that the politicians will look for every, possible way to keep the laws as draconian as possible while technically obeying the strict letter of the decision (ala Washington, D.C.) and more clarification and legal wrangling will be needed.

That said, what I hope to see from a (hopefully) favorable SCOTUS ruling and incorporation of the Second Amendment and ruling that it represents an individual right is protection for those of us who live in areas where we currently enjoy a greater recognition of our firearms-related rights from having Chicago-like attitudes take root in the laws of our areas. Stopping the spread of such lunacy would be beneficial to all, not just those living in Chicago or other such places.

Exactly Ulmus!
Even in war, a front line moving only a foot forward is still progress. :wink1:
