I just saw that somewhere else today too!
And I have to say it just don't look right to me? :huh1:

I also almost picked up a Century Arms Coach gun today! And I still might? :dunno:
I'm kind of friends with the manager at Big 5 by me and he had one in the back he had to show me. He brings it out and says it's 299.00 once he puts it on the shelf. But then in a week ot two it'll be marked down to 249.00 and he'll sell it to me for that right now.

So I hemmed and hawed for a bit and then he offered me his 10% employee discount to bring it down closer to 225.00! :shocked1: :groan:
But I managed to walk out without buying it...... tonight! :scared:
Only cause I'm thinking of using that money on a Heritage BB .45LC that's case hardened. :scared: :dunno:

Attractive, in an evil sort of way. I love the rail under the barrels! Beats all heck out of duct tape. But ported barrels?

I've been considering one of the Century coach guns too, not so much for SD/HD, but just because an exposed hammer double looks so cool.

I'll give you that......It is cool in an evil black gun sort of way. :hmmmm:

And the exposed hammers are a big attraction for me as well. :wink1: Something just cool and "old west" about it. :cool1:

Stoeger had to jump on the tactical bandwagon too! Those are all over the place here. Funky lookin' . Not sure I want any shotgun that doesn't eject for HD/SD. The CAS people make 'em look good but that's after careful chamber honing and then only using low power ammo. I've been looking at a Stoeger Uplander in 12ga w/26" barrels but for hunting and pleasure shooting. Nice guns and they can be slicked up so's the empties(at least low brass) come sliding out .

I can understand the light but don't really see the use of an Optic for a double barrel. It does make good market sense given all the "tactical shotgun" modifications and accessories goin' on.

Good luck with that choice Ape! :grin1:

I'm still fightin over that one internally. :huh1:

I really would rather find a .357 case hardened finish. But I do love the idea of having the .45LC for the complete tradtional package. :dunno:

I've seen that Stoeger, before, and think that it is an interesting idea and will probably sell some guns for them. To me, though, the biggest reasons to go with a double over a pump for HD would be simplicity of use and the idea that your firearm looks like a skeet or hunting gun and NOT like something tacticool. By throwing rails, optics, etc. on there you kind of lose both of those so why not go with a pump that could be had for half the cost while holding more rounds?

I, too, would like to have a coach gun. I might sometimes even use it as a coach (truck) gun, depending on where I was going, etc.

This is what I think of when I think of my future "tactical truck gun." :wink1:

Slight pipe dream till at least next summer. The SP1 is too pretty and doesn't fit "behind" the seats in a regular cab.

I;m thinking there may be a Stoeger coach gun in my future, but I'd go the more traditional route, something to go with the HRR's and my old 1894. I suppose Stoeger has to have an offering in the tacticool market, and there's no arguing that looking down the business end of a double-barrel has to be intimidating as anything. But I'd be concerned, at the other end of the gun, about running out of boolits :? I've already got a tacticooled Zombie Killer, so a traditional would be the way to go for me.
