Forum rules

As with any great game there are rules.

1: This is a Family Site that means:
__ a: No sexually explicit pictures or avaters.
__ b: No vulgar profanity. (Keep it PG)
__ c: No personal insults (Argue the point, not the person.)

2: Keep all political/religious debates civil. Different viewpoints are good. Hating someone for that different is bad.

3: No "smack-talk" of someone elses gun. Every gun is a Heirloom to it's owner.

4: No spamming or fly-by-night sales. This isn't free-advertising.com! Go sell your stuff somewhere else.

5: If you don't like guns or shooting hobbies, go somewhere else! There are other places to go that feel that way and would love you to join them. Let us enjoy our hobby!

6: Have fun! You're here to relax and enjoy yourself. Keep it light and don't get caught up in the gun-smoke!

I should point out that the HRR here is blue with fixed sights. Yes, the Plinkerton is less , at least in this instance.

Favorite Heritage: 6.5in. Blue 22 Combo
I looked at a Plinkerton, too, when considering a .22 Mag combo. I didn't think the ones I looked at were anywhere near as nice in appearance, etc. as the HRR. The finish on the ones I saw had a rough texture to it, nothing like the smooth finish on the HRR.

I do have to say that I like the way that the Plinkerton handles the mechanical safety better than the HRR (as in it isn't as obvious and you could just turn it off and forget about it as if it weren't even there.) Other than that, though, I preferred the HRR in every way - which should be obvious as I ended up buying one. Of course, unless I am mistaken, there is no 6.5 inch barrel option for the Plinkerton - which was one of my 'requirements' as I wanted to squeeze more potential out of the .22 Magnums.

Right,JAB on the barrel length, Plinky comes in 4 3/4 only. Ditto on rest too , maybe the safety was better, but not if you really wanted to use it. You can leave RRs off too and forget it's there.
